Plume Moth
Treatment Plan
Plume moth larvae fold terminal leaves together to form a shelter held together with webbing and feed on the leaves prior to grape bloom. Injury is generally not significant and does not require treatment in most situations.
Apply Drexel Carbaryl 4L at 1-2 qt per acre when larvae are present. Up to 5 applications per season are permitted with a minimum of 7 days between applications. 7 day PHI, 48 hour REI.
It is not legal to apply Carbaryl for control of Plume Moth in New York State where both the crop and the pest must be on the product label. Observe state restrictions when applying Carbaryl for control of Plume Moth and other insect pests.
