Growing grapevines can be done in a variety of ways. For ease of growing and high success rates growing rooted vines is the standard practice however, others prefer to begin with hardwood cuttings. Hardwood cuttings are purchasable through Double A Vineyards at a minimum quantity of 400 and must be ordered 12-18 months ahead of expected delivery. These must first be calloused over before roots will form and vines will grow from them. If you are looking to propagate your own grapevines via hardwood cutting see attached diagram.
